Moyshe Oysher’s Voice was like the “Shaagas Hoari” - The roaring of the Lion.

Moyshe Oysher’s origin was from Romania and from there he inherited the traditional “Doinas” moods which he used a lot in his songs and prayers.

He was extremely musical and had an outstanding ear for melody and rhythm. He could sing accurately very complicated and difficult passages.

Moyshe Oysher brought to the prayer a lot of folklore music but always respected the “Nussach” (Mood) of the prayers.

Moyshe Oysher also starred in many movies featuring screenplays written about legendary Chazonim of the past.

Chazan Arie Brown who was until not long ago the chief Chazan of the Israeli Defense Forces, reminds a lot Moyshe Oysher in his voice and interpretation.
