Benzion KapovKagan’s intensity and presence of singing are nearly unequaled amongst the known Chazonim. He had a beautiful and rich Tenor voice. He sang with a broken heart and this was very moving to the listener. KapovKagan came from the URSS to the US and all his life he tried to bring out his family to join him but to no avail, He died without ever seeing his family again. KapovKagan’s “Kiddush” became world famous and many Chazonim are using it on Friday evening services.
